Business Challenge
BSKYB approached AJAR Technology to propose an AV technology refresh for corporate boardrooms within the executive suites at the client’s Osterley HQ and an additional high profile site in London Victoria.
The existing AV technology and switching equipment had become unreliable, cumbersome and outdated and, given the use of the boardroom environments by senior executives and high profile clients, BSKYB required a solution that was robust, intuitive and innovative to mirror the corporate values of the BSKYB brand.
The client focus was to gain a system that would seamlessly integrate and control visual collaboration and AV presentation technology to provide an impressive and intuitive end user experience, whilst also having the capability to deliver demanding audio and visual content.
Our Approach
AJAR Technology provided consultancy services to BSKYB in order to define their needs criteria and provide a design for a bespoke AV boardroom technical architecture before moving to supplying, implementing and commissioning the proposed solution. AJAR Technology proposed a Savant IP based Commercial Room Automation system using simple and intuitive app via an iPad as the system control surface, which was BSKYB branded by AJAR Technology to enhance the corporate look and feel of the system.
Our Solution
The solution controls a host of AV inputs including SKY, Freesat, HDMI and VGA connections whilst also integrating with the Polycom Video Conferencing architecture, the existing telephony network and blind and lighting controls.
The Savant system implemented is modular to ensure that additional AJAR Technology provided consultancy services to BSKYB in order to define their needs criteria and provide a design for a bespoke AV boardroom technical architecture before moving to supplying, implementing and commissioning the proposed solution.
